Yoga on the Beach

At one point, yoga was a sacred activity focused more on the spiritual than the physical. Since hitting the mainstream in the last decade or so, yoga has become ubiquitous, practiced across generations, by all types of athletes, and with differing intentions.

Whatever your interest in yoga is, there’s no doubt that a great yoga class on the beach can melt away your stress – and keep you strong and limber while on vacation. One of the best activities for the body, mind, and soul, yoga will add another layer of relaxation to your holiday at Amelia Island vacation rentals.

Grab your mat, stretchy pants, and a bottle of water, and head to the beach with these Amelia Island yoga studios.

This yoga and wellness center is an Amelia Island mainstay, offering yoga overlooking the beach, by candlelight, and in the studio.

Go Yoga offers classes for all levels: Flexibility and Basic Flow for those who are new to yoga, Vinyasa 2 for intermediate students, and all-level Yin Yang.

On Mondays and Wednesdays, they offer sunset yoga overlooking the beach outside the Ocean Club (2080 S. For the ultimate relaxation, try their floor-based Candlelight class from 7 to 8:15 p.m. on Sunday evenings. Melt your stress away and get ready to start the week with gentle twists, calming music, and, of course, the glow of the candlelight.
