Amelia Island fishing has several exemptions from the Florida fishing laws concerning those that do not need a fishing license. These people can obtain a free license at a tax collector’s office. It would be wise to check with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s website before visiting Amelia Island. Licenses can be obtained online or purchased at Wal-Mart on Amelia Island.
