1. Salt – 4570 Amelia Island Parkway

Salt is known for its fine dining experience and usage of over 40 different salts from across the globe. Each salt is chosen to add just the right amount of flavor to a dish. A AAA Five Diamond award winner, Salt invites guests to watch behind-the-scenes action with the Dine with the Chef experience.

Vegan and vegetarian menus are available.

Simple elements and an artfully prepared plate with views of the ocean add to the already-romantic atmosphere. Meals start off with delightful appetizers, which include grilled romaine salad and beef tartare, among many other options.

Prime beef tenderloin, rib-eye, lobster and elk chop are available along with Alaskan halibut and Florida snappers. Multiple entrée options are available, and every evening ends with sweet endings, or desserts, that are artfully prepared.

If you can’t decide what to eat, there’s a signature tasting available that includes four courses.

A true five-star experience, you’ll find Salt is a fine-dining experience of a lifetime with ocean views, a romantic atmosphere and some of the most exquisite food on Amelia Island.

Salt is open Tuesday through Sunday from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

2. David’s Restaurant & Lounge – 802 Ash Street

David’s restaurant is close to Fernandina Beach parking and offers some of the best in intimate, fine dining in Amelia Island. Attire is resort-casual, with no cut-off jeans, hats or male tank tops. 

David’s is known for its steak and seasonal seafood collection. All seafood items are fresh, so the menu may fluctuate depending on the time of year you go to David’s. The menu is based around four main elements:

  • Ice – Caviar, hackleback, mini blini and more
  • Wind – Brie en croute, biloxi clams, crab cakes
  • Earth – crab bisque, spinach salad, beet salad and more
  • Fire – grilled ribeye, filet mignon, New York strip and more

An award-winning wine selection offers the perfect mix of fine dining, with a taste of some of the best wines in the world.

Beautiful décor, high-end silverware and glassware add to the ambiance of David’s. You can order takeout if you like, but the atmosphere of David’s is one that you’ll want to experience at least once. Everything from the impeccable service to the food is superb.

The restaurant is open seven days a week. The dining room opens at 6 p.m. daily, but you can go to the lounge and bar at 5 p.m. 

3. Le Clos – 20 S 2nd Street

Le Clos is located in the Historic District and is housed in an intimate 1906 cottage that offers the perfect setting for a romantic dinner. A lot of guests will stop by Le Clos after attending one of the annual events on Amelia Island.

Affordable, fine dining featuring French cuisine is what you can expect from Le Clos. Vegan, vegetarian and other special dietary restrictions are offered at Le Clos. The chef, Katherine Ewing, is a graduate of L’Ecole de Gastronomie Francaise Ritz-Escoffier in France and Le Cordon Bleu.

Small and quaint, the menu is limited yet filled with flavorful dishes to pick from.

Reservations are recommended, and key entrees are the Le Clos daily fish special, poulet poulet, bistro steak au poivre and duck.

The desserts are rich and include crème brulee and gateau au chocolat with crème anglaise.

Le Clos is open Monday through Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
